Reviewing saved words
Vocab is a real spaced-repetition system with 5 boxes, not just a list of words you saved.

Overview
Vocab is where your saved words live, reached from the nav. It's not a flat list you scroll through. It runs on a spaced-repetition system, so words you're shaky on come back more often, and words you know well fade into the background.
The 5-box system
Every saved word sits in one of 5 boxes. Get a word right during review, and it moves up a box. Get it wrong, and it resets to the first box. Words in earlier boxes come up for review more often than words in later ones. The system does the scheduling for you.
Choosing what to review
When you start a review session, you can pick how it's built:
- Smart mix: due cards first, in standard spaced-repetition order. The default choice if you just want to review.
- Fresh saves: words you've added recently.
- Flagged: words you've manually flagged for extra attention.
- Rusty: words you haven't reviewed in a while.
- Trouble words: words you keep getting wrong.
How a review session works
Review is flashcards. You see the word, try to recall what it means, then flip the card to check yourself. Mark yourself right or wrong, and the word moves through the box system accordingly.
Flagging and difficulty
You can flag any word for extra attention, and tag it with a difficulty: easy, medium, or hard. Flagged words feed the "Flagged" review mode above.
Known words aren't a permanent exit
Once you know a word well, you can mark it "Known" and it moves to a separate list, out of your regular review rotation. But it doesn't disappear from the system. Known words still get occasional spaced review, and if you miss one enough times in a short window, it automatically moves back into active study. "Known" means "mostly done for now," not "never again."
Characters, kept separate
For CJK languages, individual characters are their own item type, called "Characters." They're kept as a separate deck from regular words, so the two don't mix in the same review session.
