How your monthly translation works
Your plan includes a monthly amount of AI translation. Reading and practice are unlimited and never draw on it.

Overview
A Lexxio plan includes a monthly amount of AI translation. Reader covers about 500 pages a month and Pro about 1,500, where a page is roughly 300 words. Most of what you do in the app is unlimited and never touches it.

What's unlimited
Reading itself, no matter how much you read. Flashcards and practice. The Basics course and the verb curriculum. Listening to a book read aloud with a regular voice.
Recorded narration on the Lexxio Originals that carry it is unlimited too. It is delivered with the book rather than generated, so it never draws on your month.
Adding a Lexxio Original to your shelf is also free: it prepares every reading level the title has, without using any of your monthly translation.
Why "about" and not an exact number
The page figures are an average, and how far a month goes depends on what you read:
- Dense text costs more. A page of thick prose asks the AI for more than a page of dialogue.
- Language matters. Languages further from English take more work per page than Spanish or French do.
- Extra help costs more. Sentence-by-sentence translation with hover alignment asks for a structured response, so it uses more per page than plain translation.
- Re-reading is free, re-translating is not. Translations are cached, so reading the same page twice costs nothing. Translating the same book again at a second reading level does use more.
Checking where you are
The gauge in the app's nav shows how the month is going at a glance: it turns amber past halfway and red when you are near the end. The Plan screen shows the same gauge with a breakdown of what your translation has gone toward this cycle.
The monthly reset
It resets at the start of each billing cycle and doesn't roll over. A quiet month doesn't bank anything for a busy one.
If you run out mid-book
Translation pauses until your next cycle, and the app tells you rather than failing quietly. Everything you have already translated stays readable, and reading, flashcards and practice carry on untouched.
